[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The CIEH Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace provides a basic introduction to health and safety, making it ideal as a low-level induction training course. It is designed to provide a good awareness of the importance of health and safety and the role that each individual should play in keeping themselves and others free from harm.
It is suitable for employees in any industry or organisation, in particular: 1 new starters (i.e. as part of their induction training). 2 those on temporary work experience programmes. 3 those who have never received any formal health and safety training.
The CIEH Level 1 is available as an in-company classroom course and by e-learning with unlimited help and support from our expert CIEH trainers – a great option for those who need to fit studying around other commitments.
Course contents
- an introduction to health and safety
- the scope of hazards and risks in the workplace
- workplace conditions that can affect health and safety
- workplace procedures, including requirements for reporting, first aid and personal protection.
Assessment
The CIEH Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace is assessed by a short multiple-choice exam.
If you are arranging a classroom course on your company premises then the exam will take place at the end of the training.
If you study the course by e-learning, you will need to arrange to attend an exam once you have finished studying. MSSC offer exams in Bahrain and Dubai.
